Bedford Bears Travel Hockey Program Description

The Bedford Bears are a Tier III not-for-profit travel hockey program. We compete in the Hudson Valley Hockey League (HVHL) and the East Section of New York State Amateur Hockey Association (NYSAHA) Tournament, and against other competitive hockey clubs in Long Island, Westchester, Upstate New York, New Jersey, Connecticut. We are grateful to share Evarts Rink with The Harvey School in Katonah, NY.

AGES

Our travel hockey program in 2025 - 2026 will be for players in birth years 2007 - 2016, from 10U through 18U's. 

WHEN

Team formation will typically take place during March - April months each season. The season will start in August 2025.

WHERE

For our 2025 - 2026 season, we will have practices and home games at Evarts Rink in Katonah, NY.

PRACTICES

Each team will practice two to three times a week starting in late August / early September.

GAMES

Our teams will typically play 1-2 games per weekend, with a mix of league and exhibition games, plus league playoffs and 2-3+ independent tournaments. 

JERSEYS

Uniforms for new seasons are typically ordered annually in April-May following Tryouts.
